Western Harbour Tunnel and Beaches Link is a major transport infrastructure proposal that will make it easier, faster and safer to get around Sydney.  The Western Harbour Tunnel project involves a new motorway tunnel from the WestConnex Rozelle interchange, under Sydney Harbour to the Warringah Freeway.  The Beaches Link project involves a new tunnel connecting the Warringah Freeway at Cammeray and the Gore Hill Freeway at Artarmon to the Burnt Bridge Creek Deviation at Balgowlah and the Wakehurst Parkway at Seaforth.

Linchpin Environmental has seconded two people into the project team.  Jeremy Barnes is currently Place Manager for the Rozelle/Balmain area and Faye Woodward is Personal Manager Acquisitions for around 35 private properties affected by the project.  Services provided include:

  • Door knocking residents to notify of upcoming geotechnical, air quality and noise investigations

  • Door knocking residents and businesses near proposed construction sites

  • Responding to enquiries to the project information line and email address

  • Attending community information sessions and shopping centre displays

  • Keeping the project team informed of community issues, to inform project development

  • Door knocking affected property owners at the time of major project announcements

  • Helping affected property owners navigate the acquisition process.
